Delete bucket

Instructions

  1. Login as User Account
  2. Select Buckets & Objects Tab
  3. Select Buckets Sub-Tab
  4. Click Delete on the myhybridbucket line
  5. Click ok to confirm

Info

Notice that Bucket is NOT deleted as there are still objects in the bucket. We now have two options:

We now have two options to chose from, please select either:
Option 1 enable purgebucket on the CMC. This option controls whether or not CMC users will be given the option to purge all the content in a bucket in a single operation, as a precursor to deleting the bucket. or
Option 2 Delete the files within the bucket (ideal for small numbers of files)


Option 1 - Enable Purgebucket

Instructions

  1. Log-in to your Config Controller Node (node1) using SSH as sa_admin user and CMC admin password
  2. We will get a menu asking us to start a new session, or a sessionless shell. Select either.

Instructions

  1. Confirm the current setting through the CLI
    hsctl config get cmc.purgeBucket.enabled
    
  2. Set purgeBucket through the CMC to be true
    hsctl config set cmc.purgeBucket.enabled=true
    
  3. Apply the new CMC setting
    hsctl config apply cmc
    
  4. Commit the setting by restarting the CMC on all hosts in the system
    hsctl service restart cmc --nodes=ALL

You will need to log back into the CMC on completion of the changes


Instructions

  1. Login as User Account
  2. Select Buckets & Objects Tab
  3. Select Buckets Sub-Tab
  4. Click Delete on the myhybridbucket line
  5. In the popup window, type PURGE then click ok to confirm

Option 2 - Manual Delete

Instructions

  1. Select Objects Sub-Tab
  2. Select myhybridbucket
  3. Select either the files individually by ticking the Checkbox next to them or select the top checkbox to select all files
  4. Click Delete at the bottom to delete all selected objects
  5. Select OK to delete.

  2. Click ok in the popup box to confirm
