Multi Factor Authentication
Setting MFA in the CMC
Instructions
- If using a smart phone, download an Authenticator App from Google or Apple (we will be using Google's Authenticator)
- When you open the application you will see the default setup screen, click Get Started

- You then need to sign in or stay signed in to your Google Account.

- A new screen shows, select Add a code

- Log into the CMC as any user.
- Select your profile name from the top menu.
- Select Security Credentials from the drop down menu.
- We do not need to change our password, select the red switch with "disabled" written next to it under the heading MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (MFA)

- A new window appears with both a QR code and a SECRET KEY.
- Go back to the Authenticator App. You will need to either scan the QR code from the CMC or type in the setup KEY

- After entering the key, copy two consecutive MFA codes into the fields in the CMC before selecting submit.

- A popup appears telling you that MFA has been enabled for the account.
- Select OK and you will be logged out of the CMC.

- Log back in to the CMC. After entering your username and password you will get an additional field where you must enter the 6 digit MFA code provided by the Authenticator App.
- Enter the code and Login will complete
