Delete bucket

Instructions

  1. Login as User Account
  2. Select Buckets & Objects Tab
  3. Select Buckets Sub-Tab
  4. Click Delete on the myhybridbucket line
  5. Click ok to confirm

Info

Notice that Bucket is NOT deleted as there are still objects in the bucket. We now have two options:

We now have two options to chose from, please select either:
Option 1 Delete the files within the bucket (ideal for small numbers of files)
or
Option 2 enable purgebucket on the CMC. This option controls whether or not CMC users will be given the option to purge all the content in a bucket in a single operation, as a precursor to deleting the bucket.


Option 1 - Manual Delete

Instructions

  1. Select Objects Sub-Tab
  2. Select myhybridbucket
  3. Select either the files individually by ticking the Checkbox next to them or select the top checkbox to select all files
  4. Click Delete at the bottom to delete all selected objects
  5. Select OK to delete.

Option 2 - Enable Purgebucket

Instructions

  1. Log-in to your config node1 using SSH as sa_admin user and CMC admin password
  2. Open the common.csv configuration file
    hspkg config --edit common.csv
    
  3. In the 'vi' editor, type /cmc_purgebucket_enabled to search for the config option
  4. Edit the file and set the following: cmc_purgebucket_enabled,true

Instructions

  1. Press Esc key to ensure you are not in edit mode
  2. Then Press Shift Key + Z + Z to save and quit the file common.csv
  3. Run the cloudianInstall.sh script
    hspkg install
    
  4. Choose option 2) Cluster Management then option b) Push Configuration Setting to Cluster
  5. Press Enter to push changes to all nodes.
  6. Select option c) Manage Services
  7. Select option 9) Cloudian Management Console (CMC) Service then type restart and Enter to restart services.
  8. Remember to exit the script on completion.

You will need to log back into the CMC on completion of the changes

  5. In the popup window, type PURGE then click ok to confirm
